How it Works

Complete a short application form so we understand where you are on your investment journey and if there is a fit, our team will help you get pitch ready and guide you through the investment process. If you’re not, we’ll help direct you to the right resources to help move you along.

Record your pitch for the Monthly All-Island Showcase & newsletter. If there are interested angel investors and/or syndicates we’ll coordinate a Q&A session.

Investment

HBAN is committed to supporting startups across various stages of their growth journey. While we primarily focus on early-stage investments at pre-seed / seed, our network of investors consider promising later-stage opportunities on a case-by-case basis.
We actively seek to support ventures targeting large and growing markets with substantial potential for value creation and impact. We believe that startups addressing significant market needs or inefficiencies have a greater chance of achieving long-term success and delivering strong returns for both investors and founders. As such, we prioritize investments in startups that can demonstrate a deep understanding of their target market, identify key trends and customer pain points, and present a compelling, innovative solution with the potential to disrupt or transform their industry.
We prioritise startups with strong, dedicated teams possessing diverse skill sets, relevant experience, and a passion for their vision. We value exceptional leadership, adaptability, and a growth mindset, as these attributes contribute to a startup's success.

Notable Exits

In total, the HBAN program has invested over €170m from private investors into more than 700 deals and exits with renowned companies such as Decawave ($400m), Glofox (€200m plus), Aventamed (undisclosed), Boxever (€130m) and several others.

Detailed Process

Raising equity from a external investors is a time consuming exercise for you as an entrepreneur. You have to be prepared to put considerable effort into the process: before, during and after the actual deal is done.

We are here to help, every step of the process.

Apply via the short application form here. We’ll respond to you with 48 hours and set up a call, if appropriate.
Over a call we’ll discuss your company’s goals and funding requirements to assess suitability for investment by members and syndicates of HBAN.
If suitable, HBAN will then suggest the most applicable investment route for your company's needs and outline next steps. If not applicable, we will suggest other support mechanisms in the ecosystem.
HBAN's dedicated support team will assist you in refining and perfecting your pitch for the investors.
Either as part of our monthly All Island Showcase, or to a specific syndicate or group of investors, you’ll make your pitch and take follow up questions.
We will organise a follow-up Q&A with all interested angel investors and the HBAN team will provide support in the facilitation of the closing of the deal.

All-Island Monthly Showcase

There are over 700 active angels on the platform and every month our virtual All-Island Showcase provides a place for startups to pitch to the angel investor network and for angels and syndicates to follow up. There are also other opportunities to be connected directly to individual angels or syndicates which we are here to help you navigate.
